Hi Ron,
I have two props, two blade stainless for 25SSH (one of them has your name on it)
My question is can these be reworked to run on KG7H and Mark 20H with 1:1 gears? One of the props is marked 71/2 x 121/2 and the other one (yours) just says 25ssh. If they can be reworked, what kind of price are we talking about? I am in Vermont. The props would be used on a BU and a Hydro.
email is cwebster@sover.net
Thanks for any help and advice.

Too much pitch at the hubs to get them to 1:1...Some guys are looking for those old 2 blades for ASH and ASR Johnson/Evinrude...Sell them on E-Bay and find some 1"1 props...I sell them on E-Bay all the time!

Speaking of two blades, I saw Andy Hanson was still running a two blade propeller on his ASR last year at the Stock Nationals. And, he was very fast. I couldn't believe it.
Andy would be fast with just one blade..............

Joe,
I have found that a good 2 blade will usually out fast a 3 blade in a straight line. Problem is we have turns to negotiate. This is where a 3 or 4 blade has an advantage. Aren't we supposed to figure out how to go around an oval in the fastest way?
Another real good example about course speed Ron can relate to. The old Mk55 H blocks with higher port timing were real fast in a straight line but we found that the fishing block with lower port timing was superior in the race.

On the side of Andy's two blade there is a name stamped.....Want to guess who's name????
As deep as we now run, if there were any good two blade blanks around, I think they could retake the business...(In Stock Outboards).....
That Peter's kid (John) was SUPER FAST at Bakersfield in A Hydro with a two blade....but he didn't win the Divisionals becasue he needed more gas in the tank!....
our A motor came with an old quicksilver 2 blade. its pretty beat up. BU stamped on it .maybe cleaned up and repitched?
My second race weekend i ended up on a patrol boat with Andy, what a nice man. it was a fun and educational patrol duty!!
