Wow !
That must be task to propel.
Add ten speed sproket with shifter and 2 blade chopper prop.
Also add shaft drive pump to jet water in bottom of boat out rear (rooster tail). :D

Considering the likely resource gap and other restrictions aquiring for and building this boat must have been a monumental task. The gears look to be automotive inner differential [spider] gears at 1 to 1

I think the guy did a heck if a job considering .. Using bike parts , wood , nails or screws, somekind of propshaft and seal ( Must be where the water is coming from).. did anyone notice the hand and cable steering to the rudder.. All this is simple and cost effective .

my hats off to you guy , most of the people over here have never tryed to build what you have and over here we can go buy parts easy.... boats are easy to find just not everyone can afford to buy the 2.5 merc.. Bet boats and motors are high over there!!! Plus I bet fuel is high.....

Good Job and Nice Effort:) :)

It would be interesting to see the specs on this boat and how long it took to build. The boat actually looks big enough for sleeping quarters in the front.
I hope this guy posts some more info!

Not only that, fishing and cooking are probably part of it. One of my family went to China on church missions and came back with stories! She says that to go off the tourist path into real China one from here would be surprised. No matter what your occupation - Doc, Law, Street Sweeper or anything but -politically connected and/or black market, your financial status will be similarly poor. So to have such a thing is extraordinary. Dont forget that even though China has gotten onto the capitalist bandwagon to enrichen somebody... to the average Joe its still communism as usual.
