Thanks Guys!!

Ya........It really seems like last week I was blowing out candles too. IT's so true what they say about time flying by.

I asked my 8 year old last night if he thought his Dad was old. He replied "Yeah.......Kind of"

How about an anniversary the day after income tax is due. Got Uncle Sam down here to remind us. Don't complain. Could have been under Buy and Sell.

Jeff, You made me forget what I was originally going to post yesterday. I saw the original B-day greetings, then when I was looking for it again, I couldn't find it. I looked all around until you posted again. Didn't think about going to Dave's stuff at the time. Anyway, besides the greetings I was thinking about that stuff you posted on the coolest racing engines. In that room there were a number of engines and other stuff that looked restored and/or ready for the water. Could you give us a visual tour of that room?

Wayne

Actually, that is John Taylor's Garage!!!!!.......I call it "The Garage of Dreams"

In the pic, he has Merc deflectors, a Quincy Looper, a Merc Twister, Anzani's, and a Crescent.

Happy Birthday, to those so afflicted! LOL! :)
&
Happy Anniversary to those also afflicted!! LOL! ;)

Geeze, me being 55 and married for 32 years feels like a nice warm bath ya don't want to get out of!

Jeff: That double garage has never had a car in it since we bought the place! The pictures of all that stuff has been cut down and stowed away to a great degree due to house renovations and storage needs related to that, that puts a real squeeze on me for space. From Jeff's pictures all that is missing is the posterity Stock and Alky racing engines not seen in those pictures that are packaged and crated away now that are going to end up in the small boat section of my home town's marine museum when its built.

When I get the renovations completed and we are at 90% done now, I will unlimber some stuff and make some breakdown presentations as archive efforts to this board. A little bit of that will be happening soon just to take my mind off all this record rains we are having that is delaying anyone putting any kind of boat in the water until August and that is providing it quits raining! Ever hear of that happening when you want it too? :)

Hey Jeff,
It seems like yesterday my mighty J was pitted near your DeSilva at my first Canadian race. Rideau Ferry 1978 or79?
Hope your birthday was GREAT, and thanks for all the great memories watching the C-Service races! CZ-1 still rocks!

Thanks Guys and Gals!

If you go to the start of this thread, you'll see that David started it three years ago..........Now who says time dosn't fly!

As for that race in Rideau Ferry, I remember that cold misrable day. I won that race cause' I kept my fuel in the car with the heat on. Others who wern't so lucky never got out of the pits.

Is that the younger Willan (forgot the spelling) brother next to you? Looks like you are about to throw something in his intake

That was the era when Bernie Boulter used to announce the races from high up on his scaffolding.

I think that was the year Bev Hall drove his 25 hydro to the races.

The Glory Days,.... They've passed me bye. :(
