I think this prop went on Miss Budweiser Propellerbecasue I bought it in Costa Mesa and Ron Jones use to make props in Costa Mesa. 12 inch diameter...but didn't bother to pitch it...Well, I did pitch it 19 pitch. I bought it from a guy that had "NO CLUE" to what it was.... I think, I'll sell her on E-Bay, but thought maybe someone might want it for a wall decoration or door stop.....Make me an offer......Anything over $50 will be considered, but keep in mind the "SUCKER" weighs 40 pounds...cost you $40 for shipping...
Cool looking...

I sold this prop to Steve Rokowski for a "TROPHY"... I have two more that aren't bored for a props shaft. What size shaft do you have???

Ron,
The one I got from you must have been run at some point or the casting had very bad shrinkage. There are cracks on each blade near the hub that look like fatigue cracks I've seen on broken props. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but be sure to check the root of the blades on the others just to be safe. It does look awfully neat on the wall of the shop next to a "normal" prop for mod engines though!

I'm the worst speller in the world...How do you spell your last name?? (Roskowski...)
Actually, Steve, I don't think that prop ever hit the water... The three props I got, were cast at the same time....The reason the two I still have weren't machined is the "SHRINK" was found once the hole was bored....
What I have been told, and have seemed to find is: To prevent a "Shrink" in a thick/large area (LIKE A HUB), you must have a larger area to "DRAW" the metal to....I don't think I'm being clear here, but how I've cured the "SHRINKAGE" problem on my inboard props was by adding a "BOSS" on the end of the hub, that was larger than the hub...So my "Shrink" occurs in the boss which is cut off after the machine work is done.
So, the two casting I have, are probably just like the one you have...MORE FOR SHOW, which is why you said you wanted it...than GO!...
If the new wheels ran a smaller shaft, say 2 inch, for cruising the lake, they'd be OK....
