The Hans Device was "INVENTED" by Hans, I guess. But Rudy Raymos invent this helmet to save lives of boat racers. This picture is from 1970. Rudy was wearing it in an outboard powered boat, but he had developed it for his famous Rayson Craft Flatbottoms... Ron Larson is helping Rudy attach the helmet.

Looks as a good invention . I recall the non bucketing helmets i beleive M.R. Nordskog came up with to try and stop the neck injuries. Bob

Scott, Laurel Lake looks much the same today as it did in 1955. We still race there. :)

I was there last May, both days for the Mods and SO's. You're right, it still looks pretty much the same, only the course is much longer. Turns 1 and 2 were at the island in those days. Brought back a ot of memories. You guys put on a great show.

Boat in the picture is a 1954 Sid with a KG9H.
