 take two props, lets say 20ssh, they have the same blade area, same pitch, the way that RON HILL measures them. i use a different formula but do basically the same to get a number to work with for compression. now one is a 6 1/4" the other is a 6 3/4, one a fatty the other skinny. what is the main differentes going to be in performance between the two ? Did anyone test the TOP SECRET : DAWE/HILL mod (20ssh) prop over thanksgiving ? steve:)

You hook up your speedometer and GPS and you go and make a few laps. You come in, gas up....change props and go again....You've just compared two props...LOL!!! ONLY WAS I KNOW HOW TO COMPARE TWO, THREE OR FOUR PROPS....

We ran pretty well at the last Bakersfield Race, SO I CAME HOME AND MADE A FEW....We'll compare these just like I told you how to compare...Threre are 12, no need to count!!!

I look at Ron Hill props on ebay regular like and got 4 or 5. I notice the cleaver 11 x 7 - 7 1/4s are a hot item and go for lots w / many bids. I got an11 1/2 x 7 1/4 while no 1 seemed to be lookin, less than a C note. It runs real nice and all but I think an 11 wouldve been the ticket. By their success on the block Id think others agree! Ill be lookin for 1

Thanks Ron, Ill only be able to spectate at a few local races this year. I did knock an 1/8 in off my clever and thinned it down based on what I read here on BRF:D and gained 500 rpm.

Make it to as many races you can....but keep working on your own props...It isn't as much as a "Black Art" as it appears. I believe with our pitch guage, and hard work, enjoyable work, you can make your own good props...

Glad you gained 500 RPM's..Did you gain 5 MPH too??? As you could take the prop off and gain 7,000 RPM's....but you'd lose speed...
