Ron, with most of the heavy hitters in SS going to the smaller shafts, where are the 1" props they use to run? Seems like there would be a "buyers" market for the old shaft props........And maybe a low budget Pro Stock team could find some prop deals out there.......Any info here??? Ray

Ray,
Ron has one on ebay that you might be able to use.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4516268159&ssPageName=ADME:L:DS:US:8 I listed this wheel with no reserve..

I have several 1" right hand that are very good Super Stock wheels. Lots of guys still using the one inch as they don't like buying the idea of buying a new shaft about every third race...

I've been getting $450 for these props, including two or three free reworks...

What diameter, pitch and rrotation are you looking for? (About)..

Most of our competition have more props to choose from, than we have spark plugs. I fully understand that you get what you pay for. The boat performs well with a 11 1/8th 15. (RH circle style). I would like to have a 16 to test, I think we can pull it. Clyde, Duff's prop guy checked out our 2 props in Morgan City, and they're almost the same, the "fixed" one (11 1/8th 15) seemed to pick up the MPH by about 3 (gps), but the conditions were so bad we were the only boat that tested that afternoon. My inquiry about the shaft changes was wishing to find out that the 1" props were getting cheaper due to lack of demand, I guess that aint gonna happen any time soon, if ever. When,(if) we get things back on track to run some more races I will contact you to see what you might have to help us dial in the combination.........And I understand these things aint cheap....kinda like fixing it when it aint broke!......When other things are........Ray

I just got off the phone with Huey Weatherbee regarding repair of my capsuled Pro-Stock PS-346 "The Rocket" which is back at Bergeron's getting hull repair behind the capsule. Brian & Phil were going to be making us some spare 7/8's strut bearings and they noticed the strut was fractured.

An immediate decision was made to change the strut (obviously) but to change it back to 1" due to capsule/boat weight and horsepower we are running.

My hat is off to the Bergeron's for finding this situation out "prior to racing again"!! Thank you for helping me stay safe on the water!!;)
