Australian Power Boat Association 100 mph club badge number 2 is held by Mrs Grace Walker, she obtained this badge in May 1959.
She came from my local club, and was a good freind of my father, although I was only a youngster at the time I knew her, and she had stopped racing by then. She was still a ratbag on the roads even at 60 years of age, a Mustang Fastback with a 4 speed, and she was not scared to race anyone off the traffic lights.
She raced a Hydroplane with a Jaguar D Type engine, and won many major championships in the late 50's and early 60's
Her husband Keith Walker did not gain his 100mph badge untill 1960, in the same boat
