That left more than just a mark. Ed Lane's right arm was never the same after that accident.

JoeI'm sorry to hear that. I know there was racing for years before the capsule but thank the Lord for them now..

Is that the wreck that caused Ed's bad arm!? Wow. I didn't know who that was but knew it didn't look good the way he was landing. He's lucky he made it at all.

I remember that picture on the wall in Ed's shop. I miss talking to him...he was "colorful".

I think that was the last time Ed raced, Sept. 72 at a race in Needles CA. It's just not the same at the races without him!! That boat was owned by Jim Johnson and motors were Ed's. I was standing next to the guy that took that picture. Later that day My Dad made a deal to buy the boat, That became our first race boat a Glastron Carlson CT 15.

John:

Do you remember who Ed was chasing when he blew over? My dad and I were there as well, although I do not remember the accident.

Hey Joe , Have not seen you for a long time. The boat was a big twin engine Molinari and I think the guys name was Ron Brown, but not for sure. I remember your dad had a red CT 15 around the same time, that was a pretty cool red!! I'm trying to find some pictures of my dads boat after he fixed it to post on here but no luck yet.
