My Boat Is An Ex Racer I Believe, The Numbers On The Side Are S7. Any Ideas What This Would Be? Its A 63 Fiberglass Patterson flatbottom Rigged By Finish Line. I Spoke To Bob And He Had No Idea What The S7 Was. Trying to find out what class this might have been and any other info.
Thanks!
We also have a nostalgia racer with an old Rayson, His number is A-9 which stands for Lake Arrowhead # 9. Maybe the S is for a certain Lake where it raced.

Today I was working on the boat and realized that a S and a 7 had been removed from the side for whatever reason. So the boat was actually SS-77.

Do you have photos of the boat? Leonard did the "sales and machine work", I did the "plates, rails and rigging". I may have old photos of your boat.

I am doing a total restoration on the hull now, when finished it will retain the blue metal flake and the gold flaked SS-77.

THANKS RAY! Just throw me out in the open. OK, it looks like your boat was rigged by Bob himself. He would purchase most of the hardware from us, but the turnbuckles don't look like what we were making back then. Those look like "aircraft (steel/brass/steel) style" and ours were, exactly like those now sold by Glenwood. (SS/SS/SS) We always tied all of the mounting together. Rudder brace, strut brace, motor mounts, V-drive, and drive line (circle boats), to the motor rails. I only did a few with the rail "angles" on top , or over the stringers. My rails always go along side of the stringers, with the flat area up (not down). That chromed flat steel plate around the v-drive (to me) really looks like Bob's work. George
