Dennis Hansen is soliciting advance orders for replacement Mercury 'D' Quicky gearsets, 1:1 ratio. These are original Mercury quality, made in USA by Mercury's original vendor, with permission, to Mercury's specs... Not some made-in-wherever-to-who-knows-what-spec. 'reverse engineered' copies, which fail prematurely and destroy more unavailable parts, like gearcase housings. (You lose the race, too, when that happens... some of you may already know that.) Dennis Hansen owns the exclusive rights and the tooling to make the 55H/44XS gears, approved by Mercury Marine.
Advance ordered gearsets will be $450 US per set. Dennis needs advance orders for 25 sets, with an up front deposit of $200 per set in order to go ahead with this, and he'll fund the rest of the minimum order required by the manufacturer out of his own pocket. You'll get a receipt, and a full refund in the unlikely event we can't make this happen... The price quoted from the gear company is good until 12/1/06. There is also a 20 week lead time required by the manufacturer to produce them.
This may be our last chance to get these gears... Step up now with your order and get the reduced advance order price and ensure we get the needed quantity to proceed, . Any 'extra' sets will be sold later at a higher price (e-Bay?)
