A couple of our toys. We have five total. If you want a fun hobbie to do with your son or daughter this is a good one. Got planes from Bill Blackwell to build a Hydro outboard. May get started on it after Christmas.

Cool Tom, R/C boats are great fun!
I will have to find some pics of mine .. I sold all of my 3.5 tunnels, but I do have one outboard hydro and a 1/4 scale tunnel boat left collecting dust.

The yellow one in your post sure brings back memories....Corect me if I'm rong but isn't that a "Hot Shot" tunnel:confused:

You know Bill I have never found a match to this boat. It looks a lot like the older HOT SHOT by Dumas boats but those had a duck bill front ends. The funny thing with this boat is that it isn't that fast (37 mph on radar gun) but I took it to a 3.5 shoot out over in Chicago many years ago and raced against 30 other 3.5 tunnels. We came home with a fourth place finish overall. Just goes to show you just because your fast doesn't guarantee your going to win. You have to finish first to place.;)

I am just getting into this R/C boat thing. I bought a Maus Tunnel with a K&B .45 engine. Unfortunatly I crashed the second time I had it out and busted the lower unit and engine mount. Luckly I didn't loose the engine. There's a group that gathers at a local pond every Sunday about 15 boats in all. We have a good time. Can't wait till spring gets here and the water thaws so I can test my new props and engine set ups.
