That is one beautiful picture, what a nicely trimmed-out hydro. What class?
I have a few pictures of the old Flying tiger that look about like that, but not quite so high out of the water. Capnzee (zooper)

It's called "JOYA MIA".
E-134 is owned by long time (read legendary) racer Armand Yapachino in the Pacific Northwest. The boat is driven by Jeff Bernard, who has moved into the unlimited hydroplane ranks, as well.
Looks to me like the photo was taken at Spanaway Lake......Southeast of Tacoma, Washington.
It's a hot rod, for sure.......and that's not a tough shot to get of the boat, either......it runs that way a LOT ! ! ! !

Tiger by any name is one, don't think there'd be anything about size
to dispute. I am familiar with a 280 named Skoshi Tiger. At mission Bay S.D. Be the same?
RichardKCMo.The Flying Tiger was/is Rod Zapf's 6 liter. Right Rod? The Skoshi Tiger was the 280 E-34 that I built and co owned with Jack Seacrest. Jack bought me out and later sold the boat to Rod. Rod tore the boat up beyond repair at Long Beach and we built another and better in our gararge in Manhatten Beach Calif also named Skoshi Tiger. BTW, the name came from Northrup Aircraft F5 which my father was involed with.

Bill,
I'm talking about the boat at the TOP of this thread. E-134 (not E-34).
No doubt whatsoever it is Armand Yapachino's "JOYA MIA".
There is a FLYING TIGER.....once owned by Rod Zapf......NOW restored and driven on the APBA Vintage circuit by TOF Racing. Phil Mitchell In Minnesota is the current owner.
It's a GIBBS hull and was last run in the "F" class.
Apparently we're talking about two different things altogether. (?)
