Last time I saw Marty he was driving Dennis Myers' "Eye of the Tiger" PS boat at Richland Washington.(tri-cities) I heard he jumped in a K shortly thereafter but I don't know which one. I also heard he crashed the Tiger before retiring...........And you bet that sucker could drive. The full bore, pedal down, wide open, high speed turns are still called Ciccarelli turns in my pit.....He was really good.......I'd like to see that team, Dennis, Jamie Jamison, and Marty make a come back............Ray

What a small world

Yeah, the upholstery guy. Tooter and Jammie were good friends. Tooter was well known for the interiors in the very best Hot Rods. Back in the day-- If you won a national trophy in car shows it had Tooter Weaver interior.

Marty was a pretty good SS driver as well. His Bezer flat from the early 80's is running alive and well in the Pacific NW with a full Jones canopy.

This driver was in k-boats in 1990. He drove K-90 Dark Side of the Moon. KRR rookie year 1990.

Wow! I've been trying to find out who was the driver for "Dark Side of the Moon" in the 70s. What a gorgeous team that was. I didn't pay much attention to K-boats back then, but I sure admired that one!

My brother was racing stock outboards back then, and we often shared the race day with other So Cal racing clubs, including the K-Boats. About 1978 we found ourselves pitted next door to "Dark Side of the Moon". It was the first time I had ever seen an Easy-Up style tent - very classy. They also had a number of girls working as "crew" in black bikini's around their boat.

As 1/2 of my brother's All-Girl pit crew, I remember thinking "I sure hope nobody starts expecting us to wear string bikinis!"

I also think it was these guys who started the trend: Naming race boats after Pink Floyd songs. Many years later, Jimmy Johnson had named his boat "Earthbound Misfit".

I always thought "Comfortably Numb" would have been a good name for a race boat too. :)

I think the driver of this K-boat was Bob Long in the '70.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Marty at Parker for the Thanksgiving race. He seemed to be enjoying himself, seeing old friends and old competition. Funny, we were watching some flats go screaming into a corner and his left leg was kinda flexing and twitching:D.........Great seeing you Marty, and don't be a stranger to circle racing buddy............Ray
