I beleive it was 1967 and we all stayed to watch the C B S late news and the footage of this tragic event. Donald Campbell was the driver of this Bluebird, Sir Malcom I beleive was his father that set the records at Daytona Beach and the salt flats with the Bluebird record setting car.He also set records with jet boats after world war two, also called Bluebird. Quite the innovative family.
