I know several of these have been offered over the last 2 years. Here is a little of "the rest of the story" why so many showed up. When Charles Alexander left Mercury( I won't explain Alex here just read the Kiekhaefer book) he ended up in Austin,Tx and was a partner in Austin Boats and Motors. One of his partners and Roddy Foreman teamed up to race Mod-100 and another class. They tried to run lots of retired, wierd Chrysler stuff that Charlie still had access to around Mercury. It all got put in a barn in the early 1990's and eventually sold a few years ago. Lots of Chrysler stuff including new racing units in the box, side carb motors, stacker pipes and U-name it. Since that time a lot was sold on Ebay and there are few things still around. I wish someone had taken a picture of all that stuff before it was sold off.

About a year ago, I went to Tom Wood's Prop Shop in Oklahoma City to see a prop polishing machine in action, then headed for the Lone Star Boat Racing Association's reunion...

About half way between Oklahoma City and Baytown, Texas, i stopped at an Evinrude dealer and was justr looking around when I saw a BRAND NEW CHRYSLER 105 gearcase....Speedmaster stryle.....

I say to the DUDE that owns the shop, "Hey, what do you want for this Chrysler gearcase?" Then, I thought, why did I let him know I knew it was a Chrysler??? Anyway, he says, "I want EXACTLY what I paid for it." I think, Oh ****...probably paid $1,500.......I say, "What'd you pay for it?" He says, "A hundred bucks..." I give him the hundred before he stops talking...I put that mother in my truck....Can't recall what I sold her for, but more than a hundred....

Terry Strock was the other driver. We ran against them in the late 80s at Kankakee and they ran well, I believe they finished 2nd and 3rd. They also ran a Mod 110 with a 5 cylinder Force F5 motor on a race lower unit. That was the first time I ever saw A Bonneville mid and I have wanted one ever since.
Does anyone know wher I can find one????? Any leads appreciated!

Call Chris Ray at Performance Outboards 512 264 3124. He ended up with some unfinished Bonneville center sections and interesting Chrysler powerheads.
