I was talking to a friend the other day and he said, "Well a prop man would like a claimer price." That comment stuck in my brain like an Old Buck Owens toon....Like My Heart Skips A Beat When You Down the Street...or Say you'll Be Mine Come Picken Time....

Help me here... How does a "CLAIMER PRICE on props help a prop man? Or for that matter, how would a "Claimer Price" do anyting but help a class???

I see onlu "UPSIDE" to Boat Racing when people feel the field is level...

One reason I ran the Parker Enduro was that I felt I could keep my motor running all day... as I knew I didn't have as fast of MOD VP as the "OTHERS"...

i dont get it. maybe im stupid but if i keep sending a pop back for tweaking do you keep doing it for the sale price of the prop or do u charge every time i send it to you?
if you do charge and if you dont do it really cheap i will have more in the prop than the claimer right? but if i buy it and run it the claim would be more than the price of the prop corect?
btw how much for one of those cool cleavers you mentioned on the other site ?

Ron - I know what your saying. When I was active in motorsports racing in my younger years;),the entry level "stock car" divsions had a claimer rule on the race cars raced. It definently made people think twice about dumping a ton of money into their beater class cars to win a saturday night trophy! It kepted the playing field level by doing so.I know the "Sport C" tunnel class had to run OEM alum. props back when I was tech'n in the early 90's.The racers were allowed to tweek the props if they wanted to.It definetly made the class a little less exspensive to race in by doing so.
