When I was a boy, a freind of my dad's was a spitfire pilot in the battle of britian amongst other battles, and he came down to our boat club, to see one of the thunderboats running, we only ever had a couple with the RR in them, our Unlimited races are unlimited with no upper or lower restrcition any inboard can enter them but thats another story..
.. anyway on with it. He kept asking did they have "that" sound.. he was thrilled to hear them running in anger again after 40 years. reminded him of his youth, I remember thinking this silly old fool.... but now I know what he meant.
Tom, did U check out the Human powered post I put up, I was pretty impressed with a couple of them, and its all boat racing, and I bet there are zero noise complaints.
