Tinker Collinge's 280 Hydro

Tinker just picked this "BABY UP" in Seattle...Anyone know what brand it is?? Or any history of the boat???

Is this a Chevy motor?

Yep. Looks like a 265/283/327. 350 came out with flat topped valve covers.

Class rules in those days was 265 Chev, 260 Ford or the 272 Ply. The 272 ply was the faster motor.

Tinker bought the boat is Tacoma, Washington. His two hour paint job has turned into a about fifty hours on the bottom and sponsons alone. Tinker is wondering if anyone know any history on this boat.

He does know the boat was raced in the Seattle area, ten to twelve years ago.
