Ron:

Will you have extra tee shirts for sale? If so, what sizes and price will they be, and can they be shipped before Depue?

Thanks, Joe

I have shirts "For Sale" NOW. ANd Will ship as soon as I get the BREAD....

Well, maybe that isn't true, as I haven't gotten any shirts, but John Schubert got 150 and I should have 150 coming.

We have ordered 450 total....

I haven't seen any posts of where the reunion will be held. Has a site been determined, and which day will it be? To answer John's inquiry about the Westbrooks, Charlie died in 2001, Richard is retired and living in the north Ga. mountains, and David is operating our carwash in Woodstock, Ga. I will let them know about the reunion.

I met with the men’s club & VFW president’s Friday evening & got most things worked out. We are going to have a tent just outside & to the east side of the VFW. The VFW hall is no longer open to regular members so that helps. They will sell beer & wine outside & if anyone want a mixed drink, limited stuff such as “screwdrivers, 7 & 7”, etc. they will make them inside the bar. We will have a small portable sound system in the tent so announcements can be made as well as a speech by Charlie Strang. There will be a silent auction inside the tent probably starting mid day Friday as we will have confirmation of pre-registration & registration starting hopefully mid morning.

The VFW helped by the Amvets will cook Hamburgers, hot dogs & brats & serve with chips to every one. We used a head count # of 350 – 400. The cost of the food for pre-registrants will be covered by their registration fee. Each person pre-registering will get a reunion T-shirt. The pre-registration form to be on the BRF.com site here shortly will also allow pre-registrant the opportunity to purchase additional T-shirts. Those current racers that want to attend but don’t pre-register will have to pay for their food as they arrive, but I think it would be best that they just put something in a “donation” jar. Current racers will also have an opportunity to purchase shirts & a limited quantity of hats inside the tent. They can also participate in the silent auctions.

We can park all vintage equipment on the street adjacent to the tent & outside the VFW hall. I have requested that they get volunteers from their respective clubs to provide over night security Thursday & Friday nights.

Ron Hill will collect registrations & fees & advise me of the names who register. Additional shirts can be ordered when registrations are submitted. See Ron's separate post about price. I will prepare name tags that will hang around the neck with neck bands. I will also put together the envelopes with reunion materials including shirts to be dispersed on Friday. Ron will also do an agenda to go in the envelope & I’ll do a cover letter about the details of food, drinks, etc., what’s covered in the registration fee & what is not.

If necessary & or possible, early arrivals prior to Friday can pick up their envelope & wrist band after signing the release form by locating Ron or myself who can take care of it or perhaps help from Cookie Hooughkirk, Connie Payne or Bev Krier.

Just to confirm, the actual Reunion reception will begin Friday afternoon July 27, as well as opening the silent auctions, although I know many will be arriving prior to that & displays will be set up no doubt as early as Wednesday. as well as , food available & bar open 5 PM (unless we decide to change this).& Charlie Strang speech approximately 7 pm.

OK, Ron, count me in. I had planned to reorganize my sock drawer that week, but now I'm going to De Pheew. As for the registration, count me in. In fact, double my contribution to the "Fund" and get me some extra drink tickets.

I don't do that PayPal crap, so please pay for my registration and I'll owe you.

Ron has given me an update today so that I can prepare name tags. I need boat numbers of those that competed in the past but more importantly I need shirt sizes so that your packet that will be available for pick up on Friday morning will have your correct shirt size. If you haven't yet registered, please provide your shirt size & boat number when you do.

For those that have already registered & didn't provide your shirt size & boat number (s) please e-mail me direct @ jschubert@wi.rr.com with your shirt sizes & boat numbers.

Okay John, I finally shut down and put together a short bio and pic along with registration info. It's in the mail to Ron. I'll E mail you shirt size and boat number. I'm sending extra money to Ron later for additional shirts so as not to confuse my registration.
