This isn't a replica. It isn't a restoration. It's not even a clever PhotoShop gimmick. This is a brand new Craig Craft D runabout built by the man himself. It's rigged out as a D Mod here in Olympia this past weekend, but plans are for it to appear in DePue with a PR, and Moses Lake with D Stock. JW Myers is driving. Old School.

OLD SCHOOL, YES... Craig Selvidge, a great mind and great boat racer, nice guy...Super news to hear he has built a D Runabout... Does this mean he's back? Will plans be for sale??? Is "THE MAN HIMSELF" going to DePue???

God, this is great news...and JW at the wheel!!!

My understanding is that this is a one-off, in honor of Stock Nationals returning to the Northwest for the first time in 40 years. I don't know if Mr. Selvidge is planning to go to DePue or Moses Lake. I just take the pictures and enjoy the speed. :D :D :D

Thanks for your WONDERFUL pictures and posts...

40 years since I raced the 1968 Nationals in Seattle??? Well, really, only 39 years since they'll been in the Northwest...

I was 24 in 1968!!! Where did the time go???

I owe everything I know about boats and plans to Craig Selvidge and Tim Butts. When I was nine years old, I ordered a set of J-Stock Craig Craft plans from Craig and built my first boat. A couple of years later, I ordered a set of Craig Craft A-Stock plans and built several more. Craigs plans were the best I had ever seen and to this day, I still model my plans after his. Thanks Craig for the vision.
