New Southern SS record!!!

Tha newly formed(or should I say re-formed) DSRA had a bang up yeer in 2004...Tha Super Stock class had betweeen 15 and 21 boats thru tha hole yeer ov competition...Well, this yeer iz look'in like a record turnout for tha class...If everyones plans go az they wish, and thier plans cum together, we are look'in at 31 SS boats at the first race in Vidor, Texas!!!...

Tha SS class wuz designed to use motor combos that are lay'in around and don't fall into any other class in any other organization...2.0, 2.4, 2.5 carbed mercs only...All OMC's(except HO mota'z)...DeWayne Roberie, Jerry Pettifer, and Jed Angelle have juggled the weight/HP ov this class till a half a boat length seperates all competitors, with the top 5 or six being foto finish...I finished in tha top 5 several times, and a best ov a 3rd, and all 5 passes I made in each race, were foto finishes!!!...It iz tha closest, backyard race'in I ever seen!!!

Juss thought U guyz would like ta heer that "Grass roots" race'in ain't over yet...at leest not in Lousiana and Texas!!!...Ya'll kum see!!!...REX :cool:

If a man wanted to put on Outboard Drags...what the heck would a man do, to get them started???

And could we use "BRACKETS" to bring in Flat Bottoms and ALL???

Well, if ya reely want to put on a drag race, U gotta find a place that haz at leest a 1/2 mile ov waterway(protected water preferably), and thats if U want to run 1/4mile...If it's publik water, U have to go thru the wildlife and fisheries(water cops) and also the Parish sherriff's department(county)...It's reely no diffrent than a roundy round race az for az preperation...Now For brackets, that will meen break'in out tha big bucks for time'in equipment...In DSRA we use Start lights, but a finish line Judge, and a finish line camera for to close to call runs...DSRA, ODBA, ADBA all run only outboards...SDBA, KDBA an such run both, but have time'ing equipment, but they don't run from an idle like DSRA does...
