I was interested in everyones opinion of what was the most fun to play with and their reasons why.
Is it a Hydrostream, or Allison, or maybe an old tunnel modified to carry a few passengers.
Let me know what you think.
Who knows maybe someone even thinks a tri hull would be very fun.
Don't forget the famous Powercat.

When I was 14 years of age.(man that seems a long time ago):o I was lucky enough to put together a 12' GW invader with a 45 merc.. I ran on our lake in the summer from sun up till sun set. The most fun was when the 1' to 2' swells would roll down the lake from north to south. The lake is 7 mile long and my friend and I would be drenched after makeing a full throttle pass down the middle of the lake. We would laugh our asses off when we reached the end of the lake and turn around and do it all over again. Those were some of the best times of my youth. :)
Never had any pictures of the boat but here is one thats similar.

I live about 15 minutes from him then, I am over in Leander and close to Lago Vista.
Maybe I can drive his EP boat someday.
Maybe we can do some lake racing...

Tom:
We had a white one with a 25 Johnson golden anniversary motor, then bolted an Evinride 50 with T/N/T on the back. John Janaky beat a prop for us. That was one of the most fun boats we ever had...Did not turn worth a tinkers squat though, that keel was cut back about 2' from the shallow V bottom and it just slid around the turns. We bought it from Wheeling Marine (once Switzer employee who made Dolphin boats) for $100.00 with the trailer.
Then in the 80's, after Invader took the royal dump from Regans luxury tax applied to boats, someone did a rip off version with bottom improvements...Wider, dedicated pad at the back, and a 45 HP rating. I can't remember the name, but Stirn's Marine had a couple they nearly had to give away.....
