I am putting together 2 classic races next year in my home town of Alpena Mi.I am having a marathon in the spring and sprint racing around mid summer. This will be true grass roots racing.I want to put the FUN back in SO racing. This will be comming out of my own pocket so it should come together nicely. It will probably be through the AOF for sanction and insurance.I started a few good topics on hydro racer only to have my topics deleted by the moderator:mad: I will never go on that site again.I hope the people on this site are good people.Everytime i bring up vintage over their the majority of the guys say (You cant run at our event) i think their worried about getting beat by a 54 year old engine:D If anyone on this site is interested in some classic A,B,25,C and D racing like it used to be let me know. This will be truely grass roots style racing like it should be.I am very passinate about vintage boat racing and i came to the conclusion that if they wont let me race then i will start something my self. Thanks guys this site is great.Bob Van Dusen president of The Thunder Bay Prop Riders. If you have any questions call me at 989-354-8335.Thanks guys

I wish you the best. My own vintage plans are to replicate my Chris Craft B that I had when I was a teenager. And along those lines I recently have bought 1 20 c.i. Chris Craft and 2 20 c.i. Oliver motors off e-bay and Bob Rusnak has given me an old copy of Speed and Spray Magazine from the '50's with plans for Bee Yew, a B Stock Runabout. My Dad built me that boat when I was 13 years old.

I would love to say I will be at your inaugural race but I'm a long way away from that. I would like to give you some sort of assistance. E-mail me at timchanceracing@yahoo.com and we can talk.

awesome dude
i think hydro racer is mostly all Florida racers
the greater population of the people of Florida are so hung up with stopping speed boats its not funny
but a 80 mph jet ski is OK riding a cycle with no helment is ok but you got to wear a seat belt and NO SPEED BOATS LET ALONE RACING A SPEED BOAT
i don't have a clue what kinda boat those are let alone the motors
but there are people still mad in my town about a poker run a while back
all types of Florida racing in general has napoleon complex connected somehow
that guy is a total jerk yet he use to be a champion boat racer uim i think region 4
i even talked with some other apba officials about the guy and they just go hohohoho yea we know he must have them all by the short hairs
believe me the word will be over there about this post before you can even say
darn Skippy

what are you talking about and what does it have to do with what Bob is doing? Hydroracer all Florida boat racers???????????????????
