The answers to this one are most likely guna be all over the board but, here goes.

Through our travels this year, I've noticed everyone's set ups are slightly different that the next, and there is no real silver bullet until you find the one that works....What has been consistent, however, is that the props I've seen work the best on most of the A hydros are anything but the cleaver configuration that the props came in. Most that work, use an eliptical shape, kind of like an anerexic egg, or even a round ended football.

I'm not asking you to tell me what little tweeks you have in your best props, but can any of you describe the shape of the blades that work best? And, who tweeked the prop for you?

It depends on what make boat you have. What worked on my Fralick wouldnt even plane on the Hemp AXSH/ASH. The props you described was what worked on the Fralick but the High Rake clevers is what I found works on my Hemp. Same with my BSH Hemp but the Tulip ear props will work on the BSH but the Cleavers still work best. Here is what makes the most differance in what props work best. The further you set the motor forward the bigger the prop has to be and the more rake it has to have get on plane. The front of the gear foot on my AXSH is 1 and a 1/2 inchs under the boat hence it takes a big high rake cleaver to work. All my props are done by Dewald. I probably have tested 50 props to find a few really good ones. Thats not all from Dewald making them but from trying props from other racers. But the ones that are my best are ones he made me from my test data that I feed back to him from testing. Also what works on the 15 Merc probably wont work on the AX OMC.
