Offered for sale is my 14 ft. Speedliner Marithon race boat. I have two engines for it, the origional 1949 KF9 Mercury or a 1961 MK 58. The boat was designed for the 1949 Albany to NY Marithon which was powered by a KF9 engine. It is a heavy boat and I have used the MK 58 engine on it. The MK 58 has electric start installed with the charging system. It can carry 4 people in it with that engine. I will sell it with eather engine or both. The trailer is not included but can be bought for an additional price if needed. The rig must be picked up. It is located on Long Island, NY. I have many pictures available of the boat and engines. Feel free to ask any questions about price by E mail (vindiver@yahoo.com) or call 631-849-3242. Thanks Bob N-96

if that is a Mk 58A ,as the front cover indicates , then it is a 1959 45 horse motor. a 1961 45 horse motor would have been maybe a Merc 450 ,with a prop exhaust .

Thanks for the information. The engine is a MK 58 as I got it as a complete engine. The first time I used it I stuck a piston as I had the engine jacked up too high. Since the water pick up in on the bottom of the cavatation plate The engine did not get enough water to cool it at full throttle. I replaced the complete powerhead with another (fresh water run only) powerhead and dropped the engine down an it ran fine. Thanks for the information and I guess it is a 1958 of 1959 engine. Thanks Bob
