Some racers just want to race, any race.
3 weeks ago Fury Marine won the Marj Watson Australasian Championship for Unlimited Displacement. This event is open to boats from Australia and New Zealand, although I can never remember a New Zealand boat coming across.
Anyway it draws the top boats from around Australia.
Today we had the NSW State Championships and again Fury Marine was there. compeating not only in the Unlimited Championshop, but the Handicap Cahampionship as well, mixing it with outboard mono hulls, and inboards from 4.6 litre and up. Not sure where he wound up after the times were worked out, but he was the last boat off.
Good to see some top racers do not consider handicap racing beneath them.
Heres a picture.
