hey everyone, new here. thought I would post a picture of my boat. built by me and some friends in 2003,

We race these up in Canada. Nanaimo, British Columbia to be exact. the Championship race is 36 miles long and we are often in rough water, with 3ft-8ft waves, Pretty crazy for 8ft boats.. There is also other races, about 9 circuit races. also a very big race up in the Yukon, on the Yukon River, 468miles long, and takes about 14hrs..... we run 8hp motors and modified class runs around 35mph... i have some more pictures.. I will probably post them if people are interested..

in the Championship race
haha, no there is a HUGE bathtub.. apparently built on a scarab.. but i havent really looked... that tub just stays in the harbour..
we "mill" around that until the cannon shot, and the pace boat flys through the milling area, its a big zodiac inflateable, and pulls a HUGE wake.. it starts the race, there is two bouys and we cannot cross them before the pace boat. we pretty much come out of the sheltered harbour getting pounded by boat wakes and meet up with our escort boats... hopefully we get those and its out to open water... its never calm.. lots of flipping... i will get some video and post it... i have a lot more pictures as well...

Check this out.. kind of gives you the idea of the race, my second cousin lost his leg in the race... right below his knee,.. worst injury so far..
