Sanger/Howard Shovel Nose Hydros

Anyone out there have info, knowledge or history of these fiberglass hydros ?? Where they mostly designed as drag boats or could they be used as ski/pleasure boats. They seem like a piece of history that has been forgotten.

Thanks for the info. Recently aquired a mold for the Howard shovel nose and was trying to learn about them.
