A mistake was made on the original post of this thread.
The $25.00 NBRA fee to honor AOF/APBA membership cards is not for the Nationals. This fee is only charged at regular race events and covers the whole weekend of racing.

THE NBRA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RACES ARE OPEN TO MEMBERS OF NBRA/AOF/APBA with no additional charges.

NBRA has made a step froward in keeping the D class alive.
Tech Ballots have been sent out and returned.
NEW for 2005 NBRA will allow the Tahatsu M50 D5 engine with stock powerhead to run in the D hydro and D runabout classes.

NEW for 2005 NBRA will allow the Tahatsu M50 D5 engine to run in the Super E (formula E) Hydro and Runabout classes. Modifications will be limited to the same rules and guidlines already imposed on the Yamaha 50 engine.

NEW for 2005 NBRA will allow the Yamaha 24.9 cu. in. 25 HP engine to run in the C classes under the same rules and guidlines as the engines already allowed in the C hydro class.

NEW for 2005 NBRA will allow the merc 25 Mod to run in the C runabout class with the same engine rules as listed in the 25 Mod hydro class.

NEW for 2005 NBRA will allow the merc 25 mod the use of any ignition and any flywheel.

NEW for 2005 NBRA will allow the merc 25 Mod to raise port timing .040 and engine may be blue printed to manufacturers model spec's.

CHANGE for 2005 Wording clarification for legal Novice engines. Legal novice engines are Yamato 80 with NBRA approved restrictor and OMC 15 with NBRA approved restrictor. Previously it was missprinted indicating the OMC 15 was the only engine needing a restricter.

A couple other new rule changes for 2005.
NBRA protest fee has been changed from $50 to $100 to help cover the costs of materials and time when reassembling a torn down engine.

Any NBRA driver who brings in a rookie driver who participates in at least 3 NBRA events will receive a free membership the following year.

NBRA National Champions are automatically qualified for the nationals the following year.

NBRA is striving to keep stock and modified outboard boat racing alive. NBRA is composed of some of the best hydroplane and runabout drivers in the country. 14 classes of racing from Novice for the begginers up to Super E for the more experianced racers. BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY ALONG TO ENJOY A WEEKEND OF BOAT RACING NBRA STYLE.
THE COMPITITION LASTS 3 LAPS ~~~~~THE FRIENDSHIPS FOREVER.

I posed this question on the Facebook NBRA page. The powers that be are aware of the problem. They're working on it.

Hi Ron,
I have made a complete copy of the 2010 NBRA rule book. Let me know what address you would like it sent to. We have found the NBRA folks to be a great group to race with. This year we will most likely run four hydro clases.
