I must admit, that I really don't know the flywheel end from the other end as far as rotation goes. Usually, the only way I know which rotation a prop is, is if the guy has a prop and I can look at it. Or, I have the guy crank it over and someone looks at the rotation. Clockwise is right hand.
I best help, is to measure your prop, look at your prop, then figure the RPM and speed. A prop is basically a gear ratio. I can compare my props to each other , at least, pretty close.
The reason I sell on E-Bay is for the above reasons. Simply put, I don't know wht you need. Horse Power isn't everything needed to know. weight of boat, torque curve, gear ratio....and your goal...Pure speed, Ski Racing....
Guys that are buying off E-Bay have an idea what they need. Custom prop work is work...Serious racers , in ever class, usually have ten or more props for each boat that they race.
I don't run a retail store anymore, but still do Custom props. Where do you live? I will be more than happy to work with you...
What brand is your current wheel? What does the size say? What are you expecting with a new prop?

my dad rigged a couple of pretty good Schiada flatbottoms back in the day. his boats were circle boats that ran off the dampner end of the engine. He always wanted to get them to come off the corner as fast as possible. And ran pretty short gears, it wasn't uncommon the have 12% gears in the SK class. He mostly ran 18% with the bigger engines (K-boats) and 11 1/4 X15 Record propellers. I have a couple of Ron's props here and I think that they will work good and a Schiada flat, I have sent one up to a guy in Washington, who has a Schiada flat that runs with the Nostalgia Circle boats, to try, and I am waiting to here back from him.
I am also interested to hear what Ron has to say about the props for your boat. They are great old boats!

I live in torrance california.
I believe i need a right hand rotation.
as for the wieght of the boat i have no clue.
the old prop is a bronze 3 blade.
my v-drive has 10% gears. wich i will most likely be changing.

Flywheel driven=prop is left hand rotation.(CCW).........Snout driven= right hand.(CW) (as in the circle boats that use the rotation to assist them around the corners.......)..........MP

But, I'll forget by tomorrow...Somewhat like when my wife says, "don't lock the door when you leave...becasue I don't have my keys." You say, "OK."...But you leave and lock the door...
Beezer....You got me thinking... Records were, in my opinion, copies of Carys...The reason for this opinion is Phil Rolla work for Joe Mascari when Mascari made props...actully they were made a Radice..who didn't speak a word of English and may have taken a million secrets about props to his grave...But, saying that some Cary and Record props were totally amazing wheels...
I have always liked the looks of a Cary (Record)...Doug Lightfoot ran one of Bad Millers old Cary Copies the last two seasons...to two GN Championships...but they haven't worked that well on Super Stocks...
But, my wheels are turning...GN...heavy boat...Super Stock light boat.....Maybe, the older Flat Bottoms need my Cary Style...
One more time: Right hand turn is when you are next to the curb...Left hand turn is from any lane???See, I've forgotten...

Doug Lightfoot lives on my street.
Maybe i should ask him what he thinks.
My Schaida seems to be a little heavier than most of the flat bottoms I've seen.

There is a Flat Bottom get together at Irvine and at the end of April there is a Needles deal... we could get together before hand, measure some props and then you could test them...All Doug's will be inch and an eighth....but it would be worth talking with him...
I totally believe there is room for improvement in the Flat Bottom Propelle Department...
