Engines will be sucking wind, but with low humidity you guys should have a great time on the water. Good luck and be safe. Looking forward to some pics.

they the freesytle riders do not have to wear a helmet when they do their tricks-- one rider did loose control and his boat did come flying up on the beach and it a forigner in the leg - everyone yelled to move and she did not understand English and it hit her - she is ok though

What I think I understand is the APBA GUYS are Marathon Racers and the OTHER GUYS, pictured here, are closed course racers....non APBA....Somewhat like NCOA was when it was all ALKY Racers and East Bay Boat Club was all STOCK OUTBOARDS...
Merging groups isn't easy!

These pictures are closed course. The apba races that Ross invites the jet skis to are the endurance racers. At the apba races the jet skis follow a different set of rules if I am correct.
The closed couse jets skis are IJSBA
plus the promoters for the race would have to coordinate together which classes they could fit in a full day of racing to fit jet ski classes and race boats. I hope this makes since to answer your question.
Ross does put on 1 jet ski race in Parker in May at the blue Water each year the month after the boat races.
Ross also helps with the coordination of the Water festival for Catalina each year too

That is a great clip. I was there and got to see it live. He obviosly was the best by far.
I am sure they would be happy to come to a race and do tricks during the lunch break. They just need to be invited to the race.

The amount of power he has in that boat is crazy. (I know the engine builder)
Sure is neat what a talented driver and some power can do. I wish I was there to see it live...
