Nice pictures, the 2nd one down looks like K-jets, and those guys were nuts! Do you have any more?

Yes! Have more B&W than color but it takes longer sometimes. I'll do some of both. Got a few good cracker box B&W's & KRR. May do a few hydros 1st.

Yep--Got plenty. Lots of B&W. Excuse me if there is a duplicate here. I have to start marking the ones I post because I'm doing too many to remember.
How about some of you guys out there identifying the boats and drivers. Stay tuned. I came across three pictures in sequence that I forgot what was going on. When I post it maybe some of you can fill us in because I forgot.

were they letting the boats run around the island at that time? 9 boats on the start seems like alot on that dinky little lake.

Count these. Maybe one left out. I came across the final three shots a few weeks ago and I can't remember what was going on. Anyone out there know?

It's Phoenix Arizona
It's sizzling at 120 degrees F
And the concession stand just announced they were out of water?

Or another possibility....His wife is in Chicago helping their daughter with the new baby and he loaned his buddy the engine from her Chevrolet for the weekend.

Well, I guess this is as good a time as any for the 1976 Firecracker 200. If I get time tonight, I'll put the OPC stuff on one of their threads.

clear lake, 1976
Yes, great history lessons here. I'm sure the guy just saw his boat flip into that man made bowl of chemicals and knew his polish job on the hardware was a big waste of time! Nasty water! but good racing if you dare!

Dennis, a slight correction, it still is YOU....I'm Ray Burnett, Builder/tuner PS89, Mike Lee's Pro Stocker. (was "Dark Star", now "Flat Crazy").........How and where have you been?.......I spoke with Jamie not so long ago, there was even some discussion here about Marty and your "Eye of the Tiger" boat....Ray

Some more pics from Firebird Lake.
Someone ask in a earlier post if they were still running around the Firebird island in 1976. The answer is yes. In 1977 C.O.B.R.A. and I.T.R.A. put on a endurance race around the island. We had a s--t load of boats. I sank a new boat.--Not Fun!!!

I think the boat on the right may be the SS-95 of Bob Dailey called "Dailey Double"
If anyone out there has pics of that boat or any of Pete Peters Honcho flats please post or contact.

That was Tim, the OLD MAN, and Mike Wallace...They usually ran a bout that they owned called "Tiny Tim"....This must have been about the time Mike started racing outboards....and Tim quit sponsoring inboards...

That's very cool to hear that V Drive Video. Here's your boat at another angle. I should have some in color too. If I find some I will post them. In the meantime, I have thrown in some extras.

I don't like it that posts have slowed down. I know Obama's agenda has hurt us all, but I always look on the bright side. Things will change. In the meantime.....let's hear something from you flatbottom guys. I never was around inboard pits to hear all the stories. You guys must have some good ones.....wrestling with having to switch or do a rebuild. What about sharing a few.:D
This right hand drive Barron has been around our in group for a few years...maybe in one of the Firebird pics?
More Inboard Endurance pics!!!!!! Getting stuff ready for the Bluewater 300 and could use some more inspiration....
