Ron, I recieved new prop from you this week(tue) and as I was trial fitting
I see that new hub is shorter than my old prop. As a result the shaft taper
sticks out about 1/8 inch before threads start. Can I or should I make a
spacer to go between prop and nut? or is that considered bad tooling practice? Or should I get a long hub prop?

I narrowed the blades on some and didn't want people to look at the prop and see a narrow blade (Quicker off the corners), but as a result, many guys needed to add a spacer (washers).

Fun, Lance Hazelrig used a larger washer that the prop, about 1/4 on and inch larger, and he felt he picked up speed and handling...

There goes the thin hub theory. As the big washer must have deflected the water off the blade and packed it tighter on the blades. (Like the flare on a thru hub prop). Lance has won a ton of GN races...

My next spacers are going to be bigger to test...It is this kind of stuff that makes boat racing interesting.
