Who's this? Don't have my notes. It was in Alexandria 1977, front straight getting close to the turn. Probably B runabout. Maybe a red nose. Jeff, use some of your magic and identify the driver. I do have a fuzzy photo of it going in the air and driver leaving but it is too out of focus to tell anything.

Appears to be a heat of C Service Runabout cause' It look like a 350 Merc on the boat going the other way.
Boat does not appear to be a DeSilva. Note the wider right chines, and what appears to be a round left chine. Could be BSH too, although the boats look a bit big to me.

It's a pro race. Alan Ishii was in a frame close by. May be 250 runabout.
Here's the first photo. I moved to him from another focal point so the first one is no good. By the time I refocused we're looking at the bottom side. See if you can play with this Jeff.

Was about to post when I read Jeff's that the boat with the Merc is the late Pete Hellsten, N22.

Thanks John, It is Pete.
I looked, and relooked at that number, and just couldn't pull it out, till you mentioned N-22--and there it was !!
SO--It is C Service Runabout as I suspected, but what's with the wierd boat??
Perhaps Duke or Todd will remember ??

This is my brother Walt going airborne with Harold Tolfords C Service runabout that he had bought several months earlier.
