I've been digging out leftovers from the '60s. One dusty box had about enough parts to build six A/B quickies! I want to get a good price for the stuff to fund a return to racing (RBH this year, 250H later), which is going to cost a pile. My advisors tell me to sell it all on ebay as disassembled parts, a piece at a time! But first I think I should let REAL racers have a shot at it.
So, for starters, here are six NOS mercury B/D pistons, utterly unused, the late style with the square wristpin bosses. I have pins (good used) if you want 'em. Now, the skirts are coated (.0005-.001") with a baked-on molycoat. Doesn't help speed any, but gives longer wear. One inspector told me he had no problem with it for BSH, but Ron's pop wouldn't have liked it, probably. I learned about bake-on moly from a Boeing lubrication expert in '66. About ten years later I learned Zak was doing a lot of this.
one pair standard bore pistons with Perfect Circle rings (new in box), molycoated. $195.
one pair +.015" pistons with PC rings. $215.
one pair +.015" pistons, no rings. $205
I have more rings but haven't checked 'em out. I do have two pair of O'Dea low-tension rings, new.
PM me. --Smitty
