I posted invitations to see the new site on both Scream and Fly and Byuboyz yesterday...

Byuboyz has over 100 hits...

S&F was deleted by adim within 30 minutes...

The internet/high performance boating community is big enough for everyone...or so I thought...

Ron, All I have iz ole junk...I bought 1 new boat in my life, an that wuz my 380 Laser in 1988...I run tha V-4 comp class at tha request ov several class competitors, and ODBA officials...But, I ran a carbed V-6 mercury to see wher it would fall in tha class...I run the first yeer at my expence, with no chance to do anythang but open a new slot in V-4 comp for a lil 2.0 v-6...It took roots, but never bloomed...I built(rebuilt) a LTV that weighed 1220#s to run in a 1050 class tha first yeer...Then run a boat that Noah Leger @ Eagle one built, and gave me to run, which weighed in at 1150#s(wit 100#s ov lead)...I then re-built a 16' laser that I ran for 2 yeers...Tha lil laser weighed in @ 1127#s(race ready), but they raised tha weight in tha class to 1250#s...Tha Pro 120 class never got kicked off, no participation, so I layed off last yeer wit ODBA, and run the lil Laser in DSRA Super Stock @ 1250 wit a stock 2.4...wher I will run agin nex yeer...I juss enjoy runn'in what other people throw away, or consider junk...Juss call me tha junk man, I'll take it!!!...Herez a couple pics ov my haz beenz...Thankz, REX

Scott, I do appreciate your post'in this website on tha BYUBOYZ site...I reely enjoy tha nastalgik atmosphere here, and tha knowlege that iz hang'in over here...I kan't reely see Greg delete'in your post, but I would consider it S&F loss if he did...I know tha BYUBOYZ site ain't fer everbody, but we have fun, and therez a ton ov info there too, not to mention a lot ov goodlookz ;) ...I do appreciate ya take'in tha time to make tha BYUBOYZ aware ov this new site...thankz, REX

Ah...my first post.
Ron..Thanks so much fo this site. I love to read all the stories of the old days, and look at the pics as well! I was around MOD VP in St Louis from 1986-1992 as a spectator.
I am curious about the threads getting deleted off S&F, that site is down for repairs today i think.

Really have enjoyed going through it. The MOD VP class really catches my attention too. I'm a young one trying to learn all I can about the old days of racing and high performance. ;)

I am really enjoying the old stories! I purchased my first STV in 1987 with a roundy bottom and ran a new 1987 2.4 off shore for a lake boat. Slick with Merc Racing helped me select a prop for my STV. Harold Bateman (Daddy Harold) helped me break in my 2.4. Guess I am in a third child hood. I purchased another STV this time with 2.5 and the speed is a hoot! Thanks for a great web page, I do not post
much but the reading is great!
