Looking for info on Eagle One's 120 boats. Has anybody raced one? I have never seen one at a race. Thanks for the help.

the eagle boat I think goes back to the IOGP days (80s) built by the Miller bros out of Niceville FL to race in SST 140 and some champ boat. They were good in there day not sure how well they run compared to a Grand Prix or a Pugh today.

Chris Arsenault had one built maybe 7 or 8 years ago (or longer) and when he got it the rig was about 100-150 pounds overweight with no driver in it. He refused to take delivery and it never got raced as far as I can remember.

back in the day they were wood when the miller bros built them, now there made of glass I think. there are plenty of good used boats out there for sale right now with good history that our for sale, and the price is right on some of the rigs.

Howie, I was going to get you to give me the gear raito on the new 200 and prop you were spinning so I could tell you what the real rev limiter was set at. 8000 sounds low to me the way the two I saw run.

I will have to look up the gear ratio, but I was using a 10 1/4 x 19 prop. My tach never showed more than 7400 and was typically at 7200. When Chris hooked up the DDT it confirmed that range as well. Once I get home I will find the paperwork that Mercury sent to give you the gear ratio.

Looks like Mercury need to check their spell checker, or they are using women of ill repute to get more power !
