  1. Hi Mark. I was doing some research for my thread Baldy's and I came across some information that I don't know if it could ever be used or not, but thought I'd pass it on to you. Dieter had done some design changes on the FA Konig in early 1968. It was exhaust chamber changes that brought the horsepower up to 47.5 at 9500 rpm's. He airfreighted two of these motors to Scott Smith so that they could run at Lakeland. A delay from a snowstorm prevented that. In a letter to my Dad he mentioned that one of the motors had a serial number of FA 68305. We bought that motor from Scott right after he received it. If you happen to come across a collector with that particular motor, that's where it's racing career started. I know it's a long shot, but I am fascinated by how you collectors are able to track info down. If I have any pieces of the puzzle that might help, I will pass them along.

    Hello Mr Suter,
I have recently discovered in my possession three 3 1/2" X 3 1/2" black & white photographs showing the very C Alky CRESCENT featured in your collection. The owner was Richard K.(Dick) O'Dea of Paterson, NJ, and driven by John Schubert. The photos were taken at Weequahic Park lake in Newark, NJ sometime in September 1967. I thought that they would be a worthy addition to your display. I'm sure that they can be scanned, and I should like to donate them to you. Let me know how I can get them to you.
    Regards,
    Frank

    Hi Mark:
I took some pics of the boat and I need your e-mail adress to send them, or should I just mail them?
