    None of the Chrysler motors are related at all to any of the Scott motors. Chrysler did make a 3, it was just the 4 with one cylinder left off. Yes, the 36 West Bend became the Chrysler.

    Was the 3 cyl. Chrysler the same as the Scott 75? My recollection is that Chrysler bought West Bend and that the '36' motor was a West Bend-? Which motors were Scotts?

    Joe, I don't remember anything about a museum. Sorry.

    I found it again, Oct. 1978 Antique Outboarder. Pianello del Lario on Lago di Como, but not sure I'm going to manage contact with the caretaker, or even if he's still alive.

    Are you sure that the 1958 Scott 40 had V-block reeds?

    The Merc 500 came out in 1961. Do you know where I can find out if it had through hub exhaust? I know that it had through-hub exhaust in 1962.
