Hyperlift Xpress
Here is my Hyperlift Xpress 1650. Boat weighs approximately 450 pounds. I am really interested in motor opinions for this boat.
Im planing on putting a 90 hp Yamaha 2 stroke tiller on the back. If I can find one.
Boat is getting ready to get all the random holes welded up and painted.

I don't have anything to add but definitely keep us updated; I want to see how this turns out and what kind of performance you can get. Nice boat.

From what i hear that is the boat to get if youre lookin for turnability and smooth ride. I've had a couple Xpress aluminum hulls and all have been wonderful to drive.
-
This hull takes rough water like a champ, doesn't slide at all and has a major porpose problem haha.
Going to look at a 70 tiller Yamaha tomorrow!

Have you run it yet? At what HP do Yamahas go to a bigger motor? Is it 40-70 is size, and 90 and up are bigger? How much does yours weigh?
-
Haven't run it yet still have to finish painting the stencils. The next size up motor would be a 75 2 stroke which is the same block as a 90. If this 70 isn't enough I'm going to a 90 I believe the 70 wieghs 230 pounds, and the 90 wieghs 260. I originaly wanted a 90 but couldn't pass up the deal on this motor.

The 70 has a bigger gearcase than the 50 and 60? How high is your cavitation plate above the bottom? Do you go for sternlifting props or bowlifting on that hull? That boat looks sharp. Can you run it by yourself? I have a 1648 with a 70hp Johnson, you really have to have somebody else sitting up front to come off plane safely.
That boat looks sharp.
