Stock 44 can be run in D Mod as long as it has no mods to ports or extenal exhaust, too bad most courses are so short.

He's sort of got it backwards
oh lol... another issue umm what LU company sells racing lowers that ahave water pumps???
Merc and Bass to name a couple. Just some info, "if" you are "thinking" of wanting to race mod, it would be much cheaper to buy a complete used mod engine than building once from scratch (using your powerhead). The cheapest racing lower unit you can buy is a "stock" Yamato 302, costs about $470, which does not have a water pump, otherwise expect to spend upwards of $1000 or more........
if just for play, stay away from open stacks or you are gonna get kicked off your local lake/river/etc...........due to noise..........
hey jeff watch that video on youtube hydroplane test 1 and man i swear im bolting mine on  lol the tower ur sending me does have bolt hole right??? even if it doesn't i still want it:)

When you start a motor with stacks you dont need to tell em to hold their ears, theyll sqweeze the sides of their heads automaticly  lol. Even little 2 bangers are way loud. An adapted motorcycle type tuned exhaust?? [still gonna cost to get a good result and as said again - a crap shoot.
A Bass foot is real good but the pump is in the tower, then you need precision machine work. $$$ The Merc D foot ?? Id be patient and vigilant about all this. A stick tower for shipping?? It dont get better than that if you can do it. ;)
C'mon man, you ought to know that...:p
Here's a sound file from Beloit Wi a while back. I was racing against a couple stock 44xs's and another 44mod. The other mod had supertrapp mufflers on his pipes, so I was the only real loud (and fast)one.
These were the pipes that I just sold on eBay.
i knew that jeff i was double checking with you:D :D
