I joined Outboard Club of Chicago in 1966. I was not fully aware of the Clubs history until now. I had heard it was a "rich man" club before I joined, and apparently it was. The only past member I knew about was Homer Kincaid because he was still an active driver.
Here is the March 1956 edition.

As I read through these Propeller editions after I post them there are occasionally things that catch my eye and make me smile. In this edition, it was on page 14, the room rates for the Sheraton Hotel on Michigan Ave in Chicago, a far cry from today's rates!!!
I won that trophy so many times, APBA made me keep it. It was costing them money to ship it to Detroit, and back to California. Interesting time, My brother's name was in High Points and so was mine, (AU). I did get third in the Nationals in Cambridge, MD. Many names from California were "House Hold" words, to me, in this era... Elmo, Orlando, Doc, Pep, Pinky, Manny, Henry, Rocky, Lon, John........
Here we go with the November 1956 edition.
