Motor height/choosing the right prop

I'm currently running a 19 pitch semi cleaver with the caveat ion plate 3/8 above the bottom of the tunnels on the boat, just wondering how hi I should be? I also have the top two pick up hole blocked off. The motor is currently undergoing surgery with a decked 50hp head ported reed cages, reeds, and 50hp carbs I think most of it is going to be to 45ss specs from what I'm understanding. So keeping all of that in mind what prop would you all recommend? Right now we are thinking a 23 cleaver/ and maybe 2" above the tunnels. Attachment 58549

I run my 40hp johnson with the waterline 2in below cab plate

Run it as high as you can, start your prop shaft at about 2" below the center pod, then go up a little bit at a time till you run out of water pressure or you start loosing speed.
Hope my attachment worked, this is the pic. of my 75 HP Stinger powered Delta with no low water pickup.

What did you use to block off the the top few water inlets? And did it hold?

I used epoxy on the top two and silicone on the bottom as experimental. The epoxy is still there after 7 years and the silicone needs to be replace as we speak but did last a long time.
If you notice, I have 5 water channels on this Nitro gear case. I drill out the small drain hole and channeled it for an increase on my water pressure.
