Johnson /Evinrude 56 cu in reed cages and intaske manifold mods ?
Been looking around the web and noticed a lot of information mercury reeds and intake manifolds etc, but not found a great deal of info on improving
the omc 56 reed housings and intake manifold. ( probably missed a big bit on here somewhere)
The intake must be able to be improved even by a small amount to give a touch more performance or maybe a bit of smoother running.
I have a spare intake and was going to polish it to a high lustre then got told and show not to polish the intake side of the reed cage.
ok so a nice satin finish is what is needed, but what about size and shape of the cage ?
is there a magic size or shape to give that little bit extra on the omc 56 ?
