Would like to add power trim to my OMC 3 cylinder short shaft motor, 1978 midsection. I know there was nothing form the factory. I have and could install a SST60 trim system, but do not want the hole through the transom set up.
Can a "standard" trim system be adapted to work here? Maybe something from a Merc or a Yammi? What years/models will work and how much fabrication is involved if any.
