Gonna have an endurance race in Panama City Florida July 13. Diffrent classes probably but most notable is the 14' and under.
56 miles along the beach in the gulf and the rest in the bay and intercoastal waterway.
Finish line is at the famous Shell Island.
The guaranteed $500 reward is for 14' boats. Any hull, any power.
Side bets are incouraged, this isn't a formal event, aka no insurance or red tape. You die, you're out of luck.
The race is broken up into two legs, 1. the Beach and 2. the Bay. After you cross the finish line of the first leg, you have 30 minutes to cross the start line of the second leg.
This gives you time to safely pass through the no wake zone and fuel up if need be.
There are beach access locations half way through each of the two legs that can be used for alternative fuel stops but you don't get to stop the timer.
Fastest combined time wins.
