If you read closely you will see that part #M-50-1247 is for use with regular mid sections on A's and B's and #M-50-1249 is for use with regular D mid sections; both 3 inches longer than the shorter special new mid sections announced with the Quickies

Well, they were. This picture compares the first year type "Q" Quickie with an "H" Quickie. The more common second generation "Q" Quickie is in between these.
