Hello all.
Just acquired a very clean 1972 Merc 200 20hp powerhead . It has the points ignition which I understand is unreliable and expensive. Just for the heck of it I pulled the flywheel and tried my omc 15a flywheel and it fits the shaft. Has this been done before? What are some ignition options?
Second question is tower. Will it bolt up to anything other than a 25ss or a 20hp? I have a 1988 Merc 9.9 with the small displacement Powerhead. Options?
