Getting all the parts together to be sent to Steve. All the engines need some sort of work, either minor (new rings) or welding repairs and new sleeves. Should go out soon. Also thought I would show what is inside the ports of one of the 40ci Loopers. Melted aluminum balls, definitely a byproduct of the #2 cylinder having something not nice thrown around in it.

So, Steve is working on FC-71 next. This is probably the "easiest" engine I have sent him as it is doesn't have any major issues with it. He soaked it and unbuttoned it and took a look. It appears that this engine was bored from Quincy as a larger cubic inch engine. According to Steve's measurements and the Quincy stamping on the top of the engine this is a 31.3ci engine! Steve says the bores have very little wear to them.

FC-71
Steve is about finished with this overbored "C" Looper. It measures in at approximately 31.3ci and came from the Quincy shop that way. Had to give it a new crank, rods have been weighed and balanced, pistons molycoated and some repairs done and opening up of intake ports. This is the only engine I have with the flared bells.

I need to blast and clean the tower. Too deep to run on the runabout, but looks good nonetheless.

What is the capacity of that fuel tank? Looks much larger than a "Grant"!

Gene, you're right it is bigger than a Grant gas tank. Could be 3 gallons?
